I have had some manure delivered today, which needs rotting down a bit more, so will be making a heap, my question is should the heap be covered? or just leave it open to the elements.

covering it will prevent air borne seeds settling but otherwise no advantageComment

I leave mine open to the elements..no need to cover it..I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
