Sorry, no idea as to the height. However dwarf french beans don't usually need support.

Dwarves don't usually require any support. Plant them close together and they hold each other up.

My dwarf French beans are in cells indoors and about 6" tall now......too early to plant out? Also have some runners approaching the same height......I'm a bit early with my planting!

You should wait until night time temps are at least 10c, which means late May for me, this year. My night time temps are STILL only 4, 5, 6 degrees

Thanks for the tips. I'll maybe wait a week or two longer.

Are you putting them outside during the day? It will slow them down a bit and harden them off too

Mine are, and they've all got wind burn in the last couple of days It's very sunny and warm, but the wind has killed a lot of foliage

So, a sheltered spot would be best

                          Not you,Scarlet, it's the weather that's behind.

Sowing now is probably a sensible time, leaving it till end of May might be even better,

the dwarf french beans (purple variety) i grow get to about 14" high. last year they were in the greenhouse so i did not give them any support. They are usually out side so i give them a bit of support for when its very windy
