Does anyone have a suggestion for something to grow or mulch my asparagus bed with? I get quite a few weeds and would prefer to have something useful growing or an appropriate mulch.

Hi ... I understand where you are coming from as I grew some asparagus from seeds last year, planted them out in a prepared bed when they looked strong enough. They seemed to be doing fine until they were surrounded by weeds and unfortunately eventually lost the lot.Originally posted by GreenLizard View Post
This year I've bought asparagus plants and planted them into a purpose made raised bed that is easier to maintain, weeds are removed regularly and my asparagus (apart from one plant) seems to be thriving.
