The start of My new army...&^ I mean family

They are georgeous!!
I've only ever hatche one set of eggs, popped them under Mum to be & 21 days to the hour 5 out of 5 hatched.
That was September last year and they were in the hen house with Mum, out the next day! She kept them warm & took them in & out as and when. Amazing creatures

Mine are just over 2 weeks old and I've been putting them outside in a huge dog-carrier intended for the back of a large estate car so they're protected from wandering cats and they don't fly off! They're only out for a couple of hours or so during the afternoons to give me chance to clean up their "other" growing place. They're as bad as spotty teenagers for making a mess!!!

I'm not really sure how old they need to be before putting them outside in a coop, but as you've got heating sorted out for them, then I should think about 2 - 3 weeks. I'm waiting till mine get a bit bigger and completely off-heat (they still have heating at night) then they'll go out into their own coop and run next to the big chooks

Ok its just hit me what am i going to do when the others ?*egg hatching >< they are going to be 1.5 weeks behide.... then the next lot 2.4 weeks behide , Im going to have to buy 2 more heat lamps and split the coop up into 3 parts arnt I

then have to deal with introducing them 3 groups to each other then to my mature chickens ...
