I planted 4 bareroot fruit trees in the middle of my gardemn - these are going to form a divide between the relaxing part of the garden and the working part (with veg plot and chickens)

The trees are spaced far enough apart to have room when they're mature...

what would you suggest i put in between the trees, shrub / flower-wise in order to make a complete divide but still look good?

Garden is north facing and huge, so will get light petty much everywhere at some point in the day. Soil is lovely... not too clay / too sandy etc and whatever plants have made it from pot to dirt have thrived desipte not being looked after.

    Any help would be great!

how about putting some trellis between the trees, and growing some climbers up, like kiwi, grapes and passion fruit??

i went a bit overboard in Aldi today (Lidl's 2mo)

bought some soft fruit trios and also some shrubs they had for £1.09 each!!

got fosythia (sp), st johns wort, flowering red current, hedgehog rose, and something else... apart from the hedgehog rose the rest said they'd be fine in semi-shade... do you think that would work?

if not i have plenty room elsewhere in the garden!

i killed a grape plant last year... what are kiwi like to grow? something quick would be good - to hide any woodwork and stop the chickens getting through to the 'play' half of the garden...

In our garden there are Forsythia and Flowering Currant in full shade, and they grow fine. They were there when we moved in and I've yet to "do" that bit of border. They were both cut down to about 12" two years ago and are both now 6' - 7', so I should think a bit of sun at some point of the day would be even better.
