    Venus flytrap

    Hi! I'm new here - my first post so Hi to everybody! Wasn't sure if this was the best section to post in but here goes - I've got a venus flytrap, arrived today and I've potted it up in the special compost for it and have got it sat in distilled water with drainage in the bottom of the pot. Is that about all I need to do for it? I tried looking on the net but that was about all I can find. It's living in the conservatory so it will get warm in the summer and obviously a lot cooler in the winter.

    LP - welcome to the vine.

    I've got some seeds to grow soon so I'll be learning about VFT's over the winter months.

    If you look on the seed swap there is someone there with seeds on offer and they seem to be an experienced grower of these kinds of exotic predatory plants. You may pick up a few tips there.

      Ooo thank you! That's especially handy as I have a few seeds of them to grow as well - I got a bit carried away on ebay lol!
