  • Chickens Noooooo!

    I wanted to keep some hens and after consulting the council last year[I am a council tennant] was told that I was not allowed.but a pigeon loft is fine.Can't see the logic in that as pigeons are after all rats with wings.
    Does anyone know of a way round this?
    The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested,when you take,some knocks,some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

    Paint them grey and teach them to coo?
    Bribe the neighbours (with eggs) not to tell?
    You are a child of the universe,
    no less than the trees and the stars;
    you have a right to be here.

      I know loads of people in council houses that have chickens - bribe the neighbours.

        Ask to Council to explain the restriction. Why Pigeons and not chickens.
