  • No! it cant be!! is it ? sunshine???

AT last!! am writing this quickly before the weather changes! I dont want to say it out loud but here in the midlands its 'sunny'!!! Have been waiting for about 3 weeks to get down the lottie and try to finish digging so I can at least have something this year but weather has been against me. I only have weekends at the minute and its either been howling winds or pouring rain. Mind you it rained so much yesterday that its probably waterlogged but I will go after my cornflakes and see whats happening!

No - I can see it too so you're not dreaming.

Quick! Get outside before it goes away again!

It was sunny here yesterday morning, so I went up and got some more work done. I just wish we could have a few dry days, though - I'm fed up of scraping half the lottie off my wellies at the end of each session

I was working 9-4pm yesterday. Beautiful sunny day up until around 3.30, then started to rain at 4- just as I left work. Bl**dy typical

Yes it was sunshine - we had some yesterday morning, and again (hazy) this morning. At least it's not raining at the moment!! However I think we need at least 3 or 4 days of dry weather before I can even think of any allotment work. Everything is waterlogged at the moment.

Really quite warm here today. I got so excited, I brought my bored beans out to look at the sun (I've got about 50 to plant out). Going back inside tonight though.

Been a gorgeous day here, sunny and relatively worm too. Ground is still far too wet to do anything meaningful, so today I've been pottering in the garden.

                        Come on spring.

At least it's still light at the moment - I love the clocks going forward.

I went down to the lottie & did some digging. It's not too wet as our plot it quite well drained, but I still felt like I was wearing moon boots by the end, with the amount of soil on my wellies.

had the best day!been in the garden in the sunshine(warm enough to sit and have coffee, read sunday papers) I've cut back, trimmed seed heads(always leave them for the birds)put in some horseradish (this should be interesting, trying to get OH to show interest in the whole growing thing -he likes horseradish sauce )and dug over raised beds, just right to turn over. Then cooked shepherds pie and last of sprouts from little patch.Alls well with the world, have a happy grin on my face.(sad I know, but hey!)

Today in Slough it was beautiful. Didn't go to the allotment but dug and laid the footings for my greenhouse. Long and hard slog, but seeing the sun and feeling the warmth on my skin made me smile.
