Finally after a year on the site i met my neighbour today.He is a great old boy called Pete.
On chatting he tells me that due to his and his wifes ailments that this year would be his last on his plot and asked if i would like half this year with the idea of a total hand over next year............And of cause i`m bloody made up
....BUT i am going to find it so hard as i feel like i am taking over his passion.
I am going to spend the rest of this year trying to convince him not to give it up although i know he is strong of mind and this will take some doing and for his and his wifes sake should i even try?.
Although i am so happy at being given this opportunity i am so not looking forward to the shake of hands next year and then watch him leave the site he has worked on for over 30 years because quite frankly there are two things that are close to my heart and can start me blubbing like a girl, they are babies and OAP`S(don`t know why but they do).
