    I gotta lotttiiiiiiieeeeeeee!

    Went down to the site today to check out the plot I'd been offered (never set foot there before) ... its in MUCH better condition than i expected... very exciting

    (the only snag is the shed is padlocked shut so I have to do a bit of breaking and entering!)

    I had to do the B&E thing when I got mine too - 'twas quite exciting seeing what was in there!

        I get the feeling I'll have to unscrew the whole hasp (is that what its called? im not a diy type and replace it... unless i can find someone with a handy set of heavy duty bolt cutters.

          Sez, I'm only a weedy girlie and my shed was double padlocked. I fully expected to have to 'get a man in' but a bit of effort with a hacksaw and a hammer got me in there, no probs

            If you can get to the screws on the hasp you're laughing - but if it's the 'security' type that folds back over itself it's not so easy.

            Either saw through the padlock or prise the whole thing off the door (and repair the wood afterwards). Depends how thick the padlock is I guess.

              its a decent sized 'household' padlock, but not one of those industrial sized things Should be easy enough to unscrew?

                Looks like you could be in luck... unless they've used security screws of course....

                      You screw them in, and then they can't be unscrewed

                      I doubt you'll find them on your shed, but worth considering if you put a lock back on.

                        Congratulations on getting your allotment sez!

                        If you can't get into the shed I'll ask a couple of our local schoolkids if you like.................they'll be in in a jiff methinks!
