| Welcome to the Vine Blacksummer. Where are you growing the basil - it only grows indoors for me. Maybe in Somerset you can manage outdoors - but that does seem slow. I would plant some more and see what happens.

| It needs to be really quite warm. Minimum of 18C is recommended. Plenty of light. South west facing position is ideal.

| Hi, thanks for your replies, the holy basil is in the greenhouse, in potting compost, it should have plenty of light there. I have some thai basil next to it which was planted at the same time, in the same compost, which seems to have grown quite well. I'll try planting some more today. Thanks again. |
