Default November issue

I just wanted to say thanks guys for getting the November issue out a day early; after last month's postage strikes holding up people's issues [not GYO's fault], I thought I'd say a big thanks for an EARLY delivery.

There was a free gift of a booklet on apples. I think what you mean is that there was no cardboard insert with special offers for sub subscribers. I was disappointed as well as I usually take up at least one of the offers.

I like the free apple & pears booklet but wish it was a bit bigger with more recipes & information in.
Quite fancy the pickled pears recipe even though I don't grow pears, might have to go & buy some!

Hi Biffo17,
Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy November's guide to grape-pruning. The step-by-steps were intended to offer beginner gardeners an easy introduction to trimming their vines.
As the mag has a wide readership we try to balance of basic information for new grow-your-owners with in-depth features. I hope you found some of November's other sections more to your taste!
Regards,
Sara
