| Well I'm totally confused. Hubby got me a subscription for christmas, starting with the Feb issue. I didn't receive the Feb issue and someone on here contacted me saying they'd look into it. I also emailed someone on a link that was on a thread in here giving my details. A few days later I got an email back saying they couldn't find any trace of my subscription so last Saturday I picked up the last copy of the Feb issue from Asda only to find when I got home, it must have fallen out of the trolley To my delight when the postie came later on Saturday morning what did he deliver....... yep my Feb issue Not sure now if I have got a subscription or not...... oooooooo, the excitement, will I get the March issue in the post in the next couple of days or will I go through all this palava again ![]() |

| I got my subscription copy yesterday and the postman came today with Free seeds i ordered from GW mag, and a bill.

| Mine arrived this morning, well done postie! Havent looked inside the mag yet, need to brew some coffee first, but having ripped the pack open I can say on a positive note that the free seeds are actually as advertised on the front cover, unlike February

| OK, had my coffee now. Sorry to be a pedant, but could someone from the mag please just confirm that the reader offer for Chilli plants on page 82 is for 3 plants each of four varieties, as stated in the blurb, rather than one each of 2 varieties, as stated on the order form. Thanks.

| Hi HotStuff, The Plantconnection chilli collection includes three plants each of four different varieties – 12 plants in all. Apologies for any confusion. Sara Editorial Assistant |

| I braved the cold and snow to get mine today (and some bread but that's not so important lol) That's my bedtime reading sorted tonight

| got mine today and gives me something to read whilst OH snores. I likes a lie in at the weekend and can read my mag in peace. I have considered a subscription but having read this a bit it seems it is just as quick to get from the local shop and give them a bit of trade. Came home clutching my mag cannot wait to have a read but steal myself. Free seeds aswell. Money maker again I have given loads to mates at work. Will try the radish. If the weather improves as it's snowing here the seeds will be in the ground double quick. |

| Well are you...Frank, Geoff, Judi, Jackie, Ann, Nigel, or Darren..? If so then yes...!

| Got mine on Wednesday, I think, and my free binder arrived on Thursday, so I'm tidier now!

| Got mine mid-week, but I saved reading it until Friday. The strawberry bed article was timely, as I'm thinking of reorganising my soft fruit, and the parsley recipes will come in very handy (never know what to do with a glut!), but the best bit was the little item on p7 about the Green Giant survey of parents. No wonder kids these days are so unhealthy, if their parents are so ignorant!!! Like a lot of grapes, I'm giving away the Moneymaker tomatoes (got plenty of more interesting varieties lined up in my seed box) and lettuce (can't stand the soft-leaved types) at work - but I'm saving the radishes to sow with my parsnips

| Got mine today and the staples are not what I call competent! Have to agree that moneymaker are not the sort of tomatoes readers of this mag will be growing, publishers take note! The article on polytunnels however is very useful as I have just convinced OH that one would save us pounds!

| Me too - the middle sheet has fallen out of mine. Are the printers trying to squeeze too many pages into the mag for the size of staple and/or weight of paper???

| Subscribed to grow your own magazine prior to Christmas!! Telephoned Mid-January to say I hadn't received the free book or magazine. Told that the free book was held up due to a flood at the suppliers. Thought about cancelling but changed my mind. Eventually received a letter saying the first issue despatched would be the March magazine which would be delivered when produced. Still waiting for magazine and book. Not a happy subscriber!!!! Shame really, as this site is a goldmine of information for fruit and veg growers. Pity the subscription department doesn't appear to maintain the same high standards. |

| Not sure why people are complaining about getting free Moneymaker seeds & Cupcake saying they're not the sort of seeds GYO readers/members will be growing, I grow them every year because I don't have a greenhouse or a lot of space & they're very reliable & tasty.I was also brought up with the saying 'never look a gift horse in the mouth', no idea where that comes from except that in essence it means be grateful & except anything you're given. Off to sow my lovely free Moneymakers now!

| I feel the same about Gardener's Delight tomatoes, Sue - they're a reliable favourite that I've grown nearly every year (and regretted when I didn't), so I'm happy to get freebies. I accept that not every variety in the giveaways is exactly what I'd like - I assume that the choice depends on what T&M/Fothergills/whoever is keen on giving away, rather than down to editorial choice - but the occasional unusual veg would make a nice change from the constant flow of "plain vanilla" varieties

| Hi Yo and Bob - sorry to hear about the redundancy. That happened to half my colleagues [and me] last week - not a nice feeling is it? No matter how obviously it was going to happen. I hope you find something else within a reasonable time Bob. On a lighter note Judi I'm Ann and I did cheer myself up by spending the T&M voucher on nice tasty raspberries. They smartened up my post to make it magazine friendly - just as well! It's not so easy to spend the voucher on their website though. Have fun with that one. Ann |

| I haven't got mine yet! It is a new subscription but i did ask for it starting in march and the direct debit has already gone from my account. Tempted to buy a copy from the shop... but knowing my luck it will drop through the door tomorrow! |
| ||||
| I bought my March issue last week. Spent a happy hour relaxing in the bath reading the first half of it . . . & now can't find it ANYWHERE!! I think the dog's eaten it or something. Have spent the last 2 evenings turning the place upside down looking for it -even looked inside the linen basket, dog bed, back of sofa, behind the clock on the mantelpiece, under the bed, under my OH . . . mystery. It'll miraculously turn up when I give in & buy another copy, no doubt! . . was it good?! |

| got mine, loved the free lettuce seeds, not keen on the toms, but that's cos we only eat cherry sized, but my mum is having them, the french breakfast radishes are a staple i have been growing for the last 3 years so they were very welcome, i already have some on the go, and repeat plant every two weeks until october so the more the merrier. it's my first issue, and i was very happy with it.

| I got mine at the beginning of the month, which i do every month, and I love reading it all month long! It's so packed with good articles (much better than other mags I've previously (and no longer) subscribed to) that it lasts me at least a weeks worth of reading ![]() Other mags all seem to be good to start with, but then just go on about flowers and garden design, not practical stuff like how to grow a particular crop, and they certainly didn't ever touch on allotment livestock; I have to subscribe to another poultry magazine for that ![]() Great mag, great forum; I think they have excelled themselves and are way above the competition! |

Ordered 31 January and (apparently) they said would get March issue. I emailed to ask where it was because I knew it was on sale and they emailed back saying I will get the April issue on 02/03/09. Fair enough, but of course money already debited. I have subsciptions to 2 other gardening magazines - I took them all out 2 years ago. Had trouble with GYO so after 3 issues-so much bother that I cancelled it-even though I like that one the best! Hoping things go better this time.
