  • round up touch any reviews?

    Hey there

What do you guys think of the round up touch? Has anyone used it?

Ive got loads of bindweed coming in from the garden next door, over the fence through the concrete everywhere Ive pulled it out but it just keeps coming back, has anyone used this on bindweed what do you think?

Also do you you think I could use it on the odd weed that pops though in the lawn as grass seed grows or will it kill off the stuff around it??

    Thanks guys

Round will kill grass so I wouldn't use it on your lawn. Never used that actual version of it.

I presume the stuff invading from next door is hedge bindweed. In which case, crumple the leaves, get an old bottle, part fill with glyphosate, and stuff as much of each stem as you can into the bottle. Then leave it, making sure the bottle is upright and will not fall over. You can part bury it in the ground. It is best to leave it away from other plants if possible for obvious reasons. The bind weed will die back in a few weeks. Chances are that the roots will only be damaged since it will be living next door, and unless your neighbours do something, it will survive. But you will see a great improvement.

Weeds in lawn can be controlled by regular cutting and hand weeding unless they are out of control. Something like Verdone may help. I had weeds in my lawn and when I dug up the lawn I found massive deep rooted weed roots.

SWMBO use's it. It is not as fast as some weed killers but it is definitely more selective, just be careful that you only touch what you want to kill.

Works well for me on bindweed and horsetail as it sticks like 5h1t to a blanket. In fact it's probably the only thing that kills horsetail reliably

If you mean the Gel then yes I've used it effectively on Bindweed coming through from my wonderful neighbors . . . just make sure you "paint" more than one leaf and be careful that the leaves you paint aren't too close to any plants you want to keep. It also has worked for me on brambles . . . but need a couple of applications.

I got some about 2 days after this post and applied it just to the dandelion weeds in the garden and they are still there....Not very impressed with it...

For Dandelions in grass I have always used Verdone, not tried the Gel on them yet.

I think you need to be patient while the plant needs to spread the poison right down to the roots before it starts to sicken and die.

I haven't tried the current one but that's how glyphosate-based brush-on gel weedkillers used to work. It was why I always hated them, you had to stare at the weeds for days before they went away. And if you chop the tops off before the chemicals have spread properly, they grow straight back.
