Default tulip bulbs.....ruined or not?

I recently inherited some mixed tulip bulbs and in a rather ham fisted attempt at cleaning them of the dried on soil, i inadvertantly removed the skins from some of them.

I am therefore left with numbers of smaller bulbs(a bit like dismantling a garlic bulb into cloves).......My question is simply, have i ruined them or will they still grow if i plant them out?
any advice would be gratefully received.

Even when I have purchased new bulbs fresh from a supplier the skins on occassion come off. I just pop them in the ground, and it does not appear to matter; they all flower just the same.

They should be fine. Some of the smaller bulbs may not flower this season, that's all.
