Default Off with their heads

I'm growing a cracking fushcia in a hanging basket for the first time - should I dead-head the pods that the flowers leave behind?

I dead head the flowers (no idea what they are) on our hanging baskets like there's no tomorrow and they are blooming marvellous-ly. I'm sure it's the same with all flowers no? Off with the seed head and the flower produces more bloom - survival.

Ours are trumpet shaped whatever they are, and they go sticky.

Agree wit HW. BTW I reckon you've got petunias HW.I get really muddled which are old seed heads & which are buds~look very similar.Last year hardly had any blooms as I kept dead heading the wrong bits!

I think you might well be right - just googled them and they look very similar if they're not petunias. Thanks.

There's loads of 'em anyway.

I leave some of the fuschia pods when I dead head - I think they look quite nice!
