I need help trying to find the name of a plant i would like to try and get hold of, all i can remember is that when it dries out its leaves go almost transparent with a seed in the middle, the leaves are paper like, i also know it is used in flower displays, i know this is a long shot but if anyone can help me you guys can.....

Sounds like Honesty. The seedheads are like discs with the seed in the middle and are used in dry flower arrangements -
