My geums have been lovely but, despite dead heading, are straggly and only producing the odd very small flower. I have cut back, will I get another show of them this year?
No matter:the allotment is lovely, the tadpoles have legs, my sea kale has germinated and I am glad to be home.

Was thinking of deadheading mine and found this---"It's a little tricky in deadheading Geum. Sometimes there are more buds coming on the original stems and you just can't see them. Thats why I often just snip off only the fuzzy seed heads."

Yes snip off the dead fuzzy seed heads and you should get more flowers. Just watch out for small caterpillars that will strip the plants.
