  • Flower weeds.

Yet more id required. After searching on various sites on the net I've firmly come to the conclusion that I'm hopless at putting names to them. Some (perhaps all) will be obvious but I really don't have a clue . . .
Apologies for blurred No.4. It (tries) to stand around 18 " tall and readily dances in the wind. Small Lilac/Blue flowers. Thin grass like leaves.

The last two look like forget-me-not and French marigold

No 2 is Calendula (English/Pot Marigold). Not a weed: it attracts hoverflies, whose larvae eat aphids.

        No.3 looks like Cosmos

No. 6 looks very much like Myosotis (forget-me-not).

I think 4 is a spurge of some kind.

I'd say 3 was Nigella....the earlier leaves are more like carrots
I'm going to edit the initial post with numbers as the pics are too big to see on one page and I'm getting lost which is which...

              5 - rocket
              7 - tagetes

Thanks for all the replies. Very helpful. I'll try and get a much better photo of No.4 and include it's flowers.
Yes 3 does look very much like Carrot leaves. At the moment these particular plants (No. 3) are small, perhaps 4 inch high at most.

Here is No. 4 again - this time with a Flower (Yipee!). Difficult to photgraph as it keeps blowing over in the wind. Originally I thought it was a single stem but there are more stems growing from the base.

Having just potted on some snapdragons tonight - I agree.

Nigellas are often mistaken for carrots....
