I've been prowling the interweb as to using ferrous sulphate to tart a lawn up. I see that various dosage rates have different effects. Weak doses just green the lawn. Medium doses harden the lawn ready for winter, and high doses kill moss. What I can't find is how often to apply it at the different strengths. Any advice would be appreciated.

Reply to Heated mat for Tom's and chilliesby raryI use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite, the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
