Hey Lesley Jay
I have seeds for rhubarb, cape gooseberry and want to get passionfruit - are they easy to grow as well? I've never tried them before... i also have melon that supposedly grows outside. (in a tub) so i hope they work too.
thanks

Strawberry sticks (also called strawberry spinach) and huckleberries can be grown.

Hi, I grew rhubarb from seed and got about 90% germination. I planted them out last summer and they made fine healthy plants. Checked them the other day and they are up and sprouting already. I would say it was well worth it.

If you click on search at the top of the main page and put in passionfruit it will bring up the old threads.

Thanks Lesley Jay
I could only find a link about certain passionfruits being edible. The seeds are from kings and apparently grow outside so I'll give them a try ( not got them yet) and report back!

Tinyvine, I sowed my rhubarb inside on the window ledge. I am assuming yours are indoors also.

Hi Bramble
Yes they are indoors on a sunny windowsill, but at that time i only had room for 2 pots, i think i must have dropped one of the seeds - it came up this morning in the same pot as the red kale, at least one seedling is red and the other green so I can tell them apart - it is like they are keeping each other company!!
I will split them up soon, I hope they survive.
thanks
