  • snakes in the tree

As a a child i remember searching high and low for my toy rubber snake only to find my farther had pinched it to put on the ground next to his broad bean rows to keep the pigeons off.

I was to young to take any notice if this worked so im going to try hanging some in my young cherry tree.

I was just wondering if anybody else had tried this and did it work or not

I have never tried this but it sounds fun. I do however tie carrier bags to my plum trees when in blossom to stop the pigeons eating the blossom - it does help.

We have real snakes in the trees.....no idea what they are.... ,they eat the birds out of nests, dont have much problem with birds eating fruit off the trees

I would imagine birds dont like snakes and wont get close enough to see if they are real

We have used rubber snakes in the garden to scare off the cats and stopping them pooping in the soil. Sort of worked

I'm not sure any of the birds round here would know a snake if they saw one!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

if you can get Samuel L. Jackson to sit at the bottom of the tree swearing that would keep the pigeons off too
