| ...how big a pot would I need for a rhubarb crown? I don't have space in my patch for this, but can spare some decking space for a pot. Has anyone grown one in a pot? I read that they are hungry plants so I know it's not ideal, but wondered if anyone's had any success. I have a crown of 'Red Champagne'. Thanks in advance! Wee Garden

| Thank you Beccy. I'm thinking a half barrel for one crown, so hopefully will still get a few stalks off them a year. I never buy it, but DH loves it.

| I think that sounds fine, just remember to water and feed it, and give it a mulch of good homemade compost or well rotten horse manure in the autumn.
