Ive seen the pineberry and want to grow it.
Introducing the Inside Out Strawberry – The Pineberry|iGrowVeg
Aparrently there like strawberrys but taste like pineapples, there sold in waitrose, as well as strasberrys what are a rasberry strawberry cross. Aparently there grown in holland and south america. Is there any place where they are sold. There is no waitros enear us i have orded from there online before but ocadio does not have them listed. Does anyone shop at waitrose, if so, could you save some seed if you buy any please. I could swap some seed for them.

Given the price, I imagine they aren't easy to grow from seed (if at all).

Have a look on that link for white strawb seeds: Introducing the Inside Out Strawberry – The Pineberry|iGrowVeg

STOP! Don't get too excited about these.

Ok folks, I was just asking my husband where the nearest Waitrose was as I was going to wing my way there tomorrow and buys some of these.

The comment I got was '"Are you sure it isn't an April Fools joke, don't forget it's the 1st tomorrow, the day these are supposed to go on sale!"

I am sure we would have heard about these way before the day they were due to go on sale.

As above; never heard of them before.
If strawberry x raspberry was possible, why don't we already have some hybrids available.

In the unlikely event that these fruits really appear in the shops, since each one contains (or has on the surface) dozens of seeds, I would think that saving a few, storing in the freezer for a month, then planting, would germinate them.

But I think that someone's pulling our carrots.

It is widely being dismissed as an April Fool on the Net, but I can't imagine Waitrose have done themselves any favours. How many irate customers are they going to have to deal with? People who might've driven 30 miles or so to buy these fruits?

Not sure it can be April Foolery - that can only happen ON 1st April, not before.

ah-hah, just been looking and the reason why my store doesn't know is because it's not one of the 45 special stores (most of them in London) but I can get to one.
