Default No Plum Delivery yet - T+ M

Is anyone else experiencing the non-delivery of fruit trees, from Thompson and Morgan ?

I placed an order back in September, for a 'Victoria plum' and I'm still waiting.

Sending a letter of complaint off tomorrow.

Hi

Have you emailed them asking about it; whenever mine haven't shown on time, an email usually sorts it out.

I have phoned four times, and then sent two emails. The last email (15th April)from them said, - " On looking at your order it is showing that the tree has been replaced on the 11th of April, I would therefore expect it to arrive by the end of this week. "

Then, on the 17th April, they said - "Rest assured your order will be with you in time for planting, if I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me".

Time for them to step up to the plate !

Don't get me started on T&M. I washed my hands of that shower years ago. I could give you a telephone directory of people who were less than happy with their delivery.

Plum tree finally arrived today (22nd April ).

A four and a half foot stick, albeit with four fairly thick branches.

The roots are dry as a bone !

Sounds rather like my 3 fruit trees I bought in 2006.

Stand them in a bucket of water for at least 24-48 hours before planting - this will help 'welcome' them to your custody!

My trees are being (big)pot grown.

Nothing in first year - one of three produced 7 fruits last year and there are blossoms and what appear to be some settings of fruit on one tree already, this.

Varieties of apple and pear - unnamed.

Do be patient if nothing much happens this year other than a bit of greenery showing.

Good luck and good eating - in time!
