Default how do you germinate an olive pip?

ok before anyone says it, i know these are near-on impossible to germinate
but i was just wondering if anyone had heard any rumours about how to increase the chances?
i've heard everything from soaking in boiling water, to freezing, to splitting the top.
basically i just want to have a go for fun, as i've come by some seeds, but i'd like to improve my chances if possible!
