    Growing strawberries in a hanging basket

    Hi all. Thinking of growing some strawberries next year. Just wondered if anyone had tried this in a hanging basket at all? Thanks in advance

    Hi I grew strawberries in hanging baskets this year, I planted 3 per 14 inch baskets and they did very well. Needed to feed them regularly with tomorite during the summer. But had no problem with slugs or anything. I just stood them on the gravel drive
    Dogs have masters, cats have slaves, and horses are just wonderful

      I grew mine in a hanging basket this year - no problems at all, except the earwigs found their way in and decimated them. Not seen an earwig for years before this year and have literally had thousands - so I think the hanging basket had very little to do with it

        I grow them in hanging baskets in the polytunnel for an extra early crop and have had great success with them.
        What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?

            That's what I'm planning on doing next year as when they were in the polytunnel beds I had to share them with slugs and the vole! I've had loads of runners from my six 'adult' plants so they are all potted up now ready to go in baskets in the spring....or should I put them in baskets now?

              I've already got mine in baskets. I'm also trying them in grow bags on staging in the PT this year.
              What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
