| We just harvested all the remaining grapes from our outdoor vine. Its been in 3.5 years, and we picked 2.5kg today, but we've been picking bunches from it for about 3 weeks. I would think we'd already had about half of them. They're very sweet now, small, seedless, Himrod variety, but they were beginnng to drop off the bunches, a stiff wind would have seen them all on the ground. It's planted outside, against a trellis to shade the greenhouse in summer. The garden is north east facing, and gets next to no sun from now until April due to the shade from houses and fences, but in the summer the vine gets what sun there is. I don't know what yields are common from vines but I'm really pleased with mine , especially after hearing that some vinyards had the grapes rotting on the vines before they were ready to pick.

| We have 6 cats, few birds venture in, and if they do, they rarely leave I didn't have to net the cherries either. I chose a seedless variety around 18 years ago, when my sons were small, so I wouldn't have to de-seed the fruit for tham Although I have moved around a lot, I've always taken a cutting with me. I haven't seen Himrod for sale much, although I suppose specialist places would have it. I've put all my harvest in the fridge, we won't be buying any other fruit for a while Hopefully, what with pressies etc, none will go to waste.

| We harvested out tunnel ones in mid August and are just into the outdoor ones now. The variety of both is "Cardinal". The two indoor vines vielded approx 30kg and the outdoor ones about half that between them. The birds dont seem to bother with ours at all.
