  • Goji berry flowers

Purchased goji berry plants about 18 months ago. They did well last year and I have some quite large bushes, I also managed to propagate some nice cuttings. I didn't get any flowers or fruit last year but was not really expecting to. This year I am expecting it to fruit but can anyone tell me where the flowers are formed so that I can start looking. Photo or picture would be nice.

They should flower from next month, just under the leaves.

They do show up late, Gojiberry - I just about gave up and then there they were. Red fruit everywhere last autumn. My problem was the fruit were horribly bitter and I later found out they were the 'wrong' kind of goji!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Yes, You need to get them from a good source. The cheep plants can be bitter.

Mine tastes like a cross between a date/prune, but not as sweet as a date.

Very easy to take cuttings from them.

Not a problem, so long as I get good root growth.

As I haven't had any berries yet so I don't know if I have the right sort. I had two lots one frreebe on the GYO mag and the other from T&M but I have a feeling they came from the same source. Pity as I have loads of cuttings.
