potato compost

I have just harvested a good crop of second early potatoe - I've been growing them in pots. As a result, I now have a fair amount of compost left over. Whats the best use for this ? Can I use it again for some maincrops ? Or should I avoid more pots in the same pots (if you know what I mean!)
