Food Waste Digesters


There is also a one week roadshow around the region.
The 2nd June sees the start of Recycle Week 2008.

Leicestershire Waste Partnership will be at Melton Mowbray market (town centre) on Tuesday 3rd June 2008 and Sainsbury's in Loughborough on Thursday 5th June 2008 selling hugely discounted food waste digesters to Leicestershire residents (payment will be taken only, delivery/installation of units will take place within 30 days of purchase).
Staff will be available to give advice to residents interested in composting their food waste and residents will be able to view each unit available.
The Leicestershire Waste Partnership food waste digester campaign will operate throughout 2008 targeting residents in each District/Borough in turn. One day sales and targeted promotional events are planned to take place in the following Districts/Boroughs during 2008:


May, June 2008Charnwood Borough Council and Melton Borough Council residents
July, August 2008Blaby District Council, North West Leicestershire District Council and Oadby & Wigston Borough Council residents
September, October 2008Harborough District Council and Hinckley & Bosworth District Council residents
