Default NEW Allotment Secretary needs help!

Well I've finally gone and done it..............got myself elected to the post of allotment secretary of our local allotment association!
I didn't volunteer, I was volunteered, but seeing as no one else wanted the job I thought to mesell "Ah, what the heck, ah'll give it a go"

I've already PM'd Piglet and NTG who I know are involved in running allotments, but this thread is a cry for help from me to anyone else who is an allotment Hon Sec or involved with allotments!

Please PM me and I'll gladly give you my email address for you to send any information from your own association you think may be relevant! Or just subscribe to this thread and I'll PM you!

Join the club im the sec of Brook road, very lucky we have a great committee so the work load is shared, don't let them 'dump' it all on you.
Your main job is dealing with any correspondence, taking the minutes of meetings and AGM ! i do the newsletter but we have a web master so i dont have that to do.
If you take on to much it will become a one man band and you will be left to do everything

I've been meaning to watch that film for ages and just got round to it!

God forbid I ever turned out like him! I've already explained to the committee " I aint no policeman"

I was secretary [part of my job] for a construction training group for a couple of years.

Yawn and indeed, yawn. What a nightmare lot of old farts.

Vowed that I would never do it through choice, and have managed to step backwards on a few occasions since.

Good luck to you; I hope it goes well. Never want to write another set of minutes for as long as I live.
