Ohhh, well done!! You can compare weather/disease differences as well. And make the new shed red instead of blue so you dont forget where you are on each plot.

Fabulous news TwoSheds! What's the new plot like? Any nice surprises - old fruit bushes etc? So pleased for you!

The new plot is mostly Bramble and Nettle - a delicacy according to Jamie King of Veg.
It's a chance to do this one "properly, by the book" - its a complete blank canvas (or will be once I've cleared it).
The Blue plot had all sorts of stuff already on it (shed, compost heap, raspberries, strawbs, apple etc) so I had to work round that.
I'm so excited, OH says he thought I'd won Cup Final tickets, not a ruddy allotment

BW, they are 8 miles apart (40 mins on my little bike). My mum, sisters etc are in one town, and my bloke are in the other, so I get to see both. It will be demanding on my time and energy though this year, so I am going simple...majoring on french beans, spuds and onions. Anything else if its lucky!

I will continue to use the established one this year while I get the new one up and functioning. As the new one is a bit small, I may keep one for spuds and beans, and the other for everything else.

So it's nettle soup followed by bramble pie this year? Well done you. Waiting to hear how far I am from the top of our local allotment list. BUT I'M NOT JEALOUS!! I only get mad when people take one on and let it go to ruin but keep paying the rent. Keeps keen people like you (and me!) out.

I just don't know how people find the time and energy. I'm going to start a thread on how to get 48 hours into a 24 hour day! Well done TS

Are you brave, or mad..
I was offered another plot in the next village, but I turned it down thinking it was too much to travel between sites, and that's only a couple of miles away!
Do you live in the middle - 4 miles to one & 4 miles to the other? Would you take on another (if available) at the new site so you have more space in the same place? Good luck with it anyway, you're one determined lady so I'm sure you'll do wonders with it

I agree on this not enough hours in a day to do half the jobs both in and out.
