Default potato leaves turning yellow?

Hello,

A few of my early potatoes developed strange yellow, warped looking leaves, does anyone have any idea what this might be? I pulled the plants up just in case thinking it might be something nasty like blight (first growing year so I didn;t know what it looked like) and found that they mostly had nomal looking potatoes growing underneath (which i ate on sunday night, lovely) and only a couple of mushy ones.. does anyone know what this might be? I put the foliage on the bonfire pile just in case..

Cheers,

Becca

The leaves and stems do turn yellow when the spuds are ready to harvest. The mushy spuds you found are the original spud you planted.
