Default Fungus on the raised beds

I've made some raised beds in my garden out of planks, these are two planks deep e.g. standard plank in this case 10" and with additional plank on top has given me a bed of 20" deep. I have noticed that I have been cultivating mushrooms in the gaps on in the beds, they are brown umbrella affairs and I have been clearing them when I have come across them (wearing gloves and scaping them off) - is this common with wooden planks? (never had this before) and just wondered how I could prevent them using organic methods?

Is this a downside to wooden raised beds or have I created a breeding ground?

Unless you're using treated wood, then it'll rot, and mushrooms like that aren't unlikely. Relax, though, they're probably harmless. Post a picture somewhere and I'll see if I can ID them.
