| Advice please Should i remove the lower sideshoots from my broad beans? One old timer told me that they should be removed, whilst another told me to leave them. Which one is right? |

| Often happens, but I don't find it really does the plant much harm. Bean Weavil damage is unsightly but the plant still usually produces a good crop. I leave the side shoots on too, by the way!

| I agree they do fine once they are going but bean weevil can do fatal damage to seedlings. Difficult to do anything about though....little critters!
