| Hi, Just got a brochure from Dobbies which gives details of 2nd crop potatos that you plant in August and crop upto December. I had never heard of them before (only been lottying for a year), any one got any experience of these. Are they worth doing? Cheers Steve G |

| It depends very much on the season. One year I got a fantastic crop, another time they were rubbish - it was quite a blighty season. You can do the same by planting some of your last lifted earlies in August. They grow for about 12 weeks then need covering or moving to a greenhouse because they won't survive a frosting. Leave them in the pots, and lift on Christmas morning!
