    What is this please? Spotted in a wooded area, described to me as “like a sweetcorn growing tomatoes” - hmmm, not recommended for soup! Strangely familiar but can't find it on Google..... Not picked by me. There were 7 of them in a group.Click image for larger version

    This is cuckoo-pint, lords-and-ladies, or lots of other names. Arum maculatum.

            lol, yes, it was very familiar to me coz I've even seen them in my own garden but I didn't know what they were called.... Google kept taking me to Amanita muscaria, a sought-after if dodgy hallucinogenic entity, evidently the favourite food of reindeer whose urine is also prized by desperate joy-seekers....!

            My favourite Google solution was the attached pic! bb.
