  • We have froglets!

Last week out tadpoles had back legs and some had front legs so I thought it might be a few weeks before they became froglets. After the gales last week they just disappeared and I wondered what had happened to them. Then I saw a few froglets when I was doing the edges of the grass today so felt really pleased they hadn't all died in the pond.We rescued frogspawn from a puddle that was almost dried up when we were hillwalking a few weeks ago and they survived despite getting frozen a few times.I know some people will say we should have just let nature take its course but we brought them home and put them in our pond and they thrived.Hope lots of them survive and devour the gigantic slugs in our garden!
