  • They are back!!

The 'jerry builders' from last year are back and repairing the old nest which I had just shoved up between the joists. They brought with them two sets of friends. One pair are building in the wooden shed and I just hope that we don't need to use the rat poison! The other pair are much more civilised and are building under the back porch we will have to remember to duck when we are sitting there.Click image for larger version

Swallows. Last year the same pair built two nests on the paper that backs fibre glass insulation. Both need some human imput i.e. support before the babies finished up on the floor.

            They never learn!
