Could any one offer any advice about creating a habitat for sloworms pleade.

I often find slowworms in my compost heap which has a loose rubber mat covering.

Its clearly a habitat they are keen on, its warm, moist and out of sight.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

We have found them in our compost heap too.
Also under black plastic sheets thrown back over stacks of old sods of turf.

And in piles of boulders and logs/sticks. OH saw when yesterday in long grass near a very deep and overgrown ditch.

Anywhere warm with a ready supply of bugs to eat.

We had a big dry stone wall at the back of the garden in Plymouth where we'd often see them.
