I was clearing out a small area in the garden yesterday and came across a Red Spider. Didn't have a camera with me, so no photograph.
The spider was slightly smaller than a standard Garden spider but somehow looked more vicious.
Never seen one before in more years than I care to remember, so I looked it up.
A woodlice spider, one of the few spiders with fangs strong enough to pierce a woody's carapace, they run them down then zap 'em.
Amazing!
Obviously it was left to carry on doing whatever it wants to do in my garden, as most things are.
Also came across approx 20 Centipedes in an area of 10 foot square, one of those was the biggest I have ever seen.
The garden really is an amazing place, especially at this time of the year.
