    Default Dragonfly inside the house!

First time I've had one indoors.

It was stunningly pretty...green and black, but as it was flying around the window I managed to see close up the fantastic way it used all 4wings independently of each other to hover and turn...absolutely spectacular!
...knocked spots off a helicopter's ability to manoeuvre

if you ever get a chance, do try and see one close up doing this. The most I've ever seen is one flying by or landing and sitting/standing still.

And yes....it was very delicatley ushered outside via the door.

    https://british-dragonflies.org.uk/c...imilar-species

According to that, mine was a male Southern Hawker

In the carboniferous period some dragonflies had wingspans of over 70cm - can you imagine one of those in your house!!!
