Yesterday, I took time to watch a bee flying from raspberry to raspberry, pollinating as he went. Its easy to take these little creatures for granted but, without them, life would be "fruitless".

Today, I picked a pink clover flower , plucked out its little pink "petals" and sucked the ends of them, as we used to do as kids. I'm sure they were sweeter where I were a nipper.

My grandmother (well, uncle really, but she was the one who used the flowers for her morning prayers) had this tree in the garden with flowers that looked like this:

It would always have bees as well as ants on it. Was deliciously sweet if you sucked at the base.

As for bees, I can spend hours watching them. It's so relaxing.
