    Please can any of you help with the identification of this Bee having a munch in my garden. Its such a good pic that my partner has taken but we can't find it on any of the identification sites.

    I think it's Bombus Pascuorum, the carder bee (a bumble)

      Oooo...I think you have it there! Thank you.

      The link you added makes sense too. They are nesting in the point where my the pipe from my pond pump goes underground to feed my waterfall into the pond. For cosmetic reasons I buried the pipe under the soil and to keep the stress off the pipe I used guttering to act as a cowl over the top of it underground. Where the pipe enters the soil is like a small mammal habitat hole an the bees are in an out of it all day
