  • Yuk on lawn

Yesterday we wondered what that funny yellow stuff was on our lawn. On closer inspection it looked as if some animal had been sick in several places after eating ??
Enclosed are pictures that I hope are clear enough for someone to tell us what on earth this ghastly muck is.

    Hopefully regards
    Don

    Looks like sick.... yuck!!!

Can foxes/badgers etc get into your garden?

Looks like what one of my dogs might bring up after eggs/marg/butter eating incidents....

Looks like Dog Vomit Fungus, some in the field near me, must say aptly named

        Thanks TEB
Armed with this name I've looked further on the net and you appear to be quite correct.
The only thing is that it appears to grow on bark chippings etc rather than lawns - What is under our lawn we ask ourselves . !

I'm surprised by the bark chip reference as I have only seen it on the wildlife strip of a farmers field

It could also be Mucilago cristacea http://www.mushroomtable.com/wild/im..._crustacea.jpg
Apparently it is quite common especially in damp autumn conditions and doesnt cause any problem or is not indicative of any problems
