  • Who's bright green eggs?

I noticed my sage seedling in the plastic greenhouse was getting nibbled. I scoured the remaining leaves to squish the bad guys. I didn't find any bad guys, but I did find some bright green eggs on one of the leaves.

What could they belong to? The colour was amazing, almost luminous green and they were quite big, about the size of a greenfly.

I put them in a jar with some leaves off another expendable plant to see what they hatch into, I'll try and post pictures tonight if I remember.

    Cheers
    Keith

In fact they look much like this:

This chap suggests they could be a shield bug?

Hey, i found some of those on my cabbages yesterday (squished!). I just assumed they were the dreaded cabbage white, 'cause there always seems to be a couple of them flapping about... What d'ya reckon?

What about the other caterpillars on brassicas, the green ones?
