  • Wasps in compost heap

    Hi

I have found loads and loads of wasps going in and out of my compost heap and cannot go near it.

Should I try to get rid of it or leave well alone?

I have read that they do not like mint and I have tons in my garden which I a tempted to us.

Probably the heap was too dry to make good compost.
But I'm thinking, are you sure they are wasps? I've found that bees also like to make nests in compost heaps (if they are too dry).
But whichever, I would leave them to it for a couple of months. Come the autumn they will have left the nest.
