I keep a 'thing', sort of a cross between a journal, a scrapbook, a photo album and the Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady, in which I try to record the weather, sowings and plantings, wildlife seen etc. - as a reference tool it's completely useless, far too much rubbish to plough through to obtain any relevant info
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

I've started keeping temperature records, nearly three years now, using an Excel spreadsheet with graphs (Love Excel). Also try to record first flowerings, sowings, fruitings etc. Also use the oldfashioned method of a diary. It's interesting, but no conclusive results yet.

Like you Rustylady, I keep a record but think that it will be several years before I can draw any conclusions. Yet to get it on to Excel!!!

We have a barograph, which measures atmosheric pressure. It's purely for aesthetic purposes and has a certain 'ooh!' factor (defo this week, it's been up and down like you know what!) Absolutely no good for using in the garden though as we always forget to date them, and it doesnt' actually mreasure the weather as such; nice piece of kit though!
