I'm going to continue with my default setting of "they make it up as they go along" and carry on as if they were wrong... just as they were consistently and daily for about 2 or 3 weeks here. Not only did the rain they forecast (and pushed back by 6 hours with every update) not materialise - there were no clouds for it to materialise from for the most part.

That said - thanks for mentioning it - I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for it just in case.

supposed to snow up north scotland too. It'll be a change from all the rain we've had the last few days. At this rate don't know when I'll get my garden done.

                  Haha.
As much as I genuinely believe weather forecasts are pretty unreliable (I was put off them when I lived in the French Alps and saw three drastically different forecasts posted as the day went by) I can't help that I'm half English (so have the great British obsession with the weather) and half Irish (so have the "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute" gene too) and as a result - I'm very relieved that I bought a roll of fleece about a week ago!

Thinking about it - it almost seems daft not to put it out.

I still doubt the forecast though! I might put the fleece out and then bury my head in the sand!

I think it's the cold nights on Tues & Weds we need to watch. Below freezing again.

Metcheck are forecasting ridiculous amounts of snow for Skipton on Tues/Weds next week. But the BBC are forecasting ridiculously heavy rain

None of it is gardening weather, but I know which I'd rather have

Glad my toms and chillies are still going in and out of the greenhouse at night. I don't trust the weather at the best of times - and it doesn't sound like next week WILL be the best of times!
